Robert Trépanier is a painter and a professional kite flyer whose passion for kites dates back to his childhood. Today, his artworks stimulate the imagination, use the element of surprise and continue to make us dream. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, the kites embody the artist’s concerns with respect to environmental issues. In addition to participating in several festivals and international exhibitions, Robert Trépanier also offers cultural mediation activities which allow young people to develop their creativity and to be more environmentally conscious through the arts.

 Camping Under the Stars

Come enjoy a summer night of camping under the stars at the Parc Historique Pointe-du-Moulin. There will be musicians and historians on-site to entertain you with music and stories around the camp fire.

There will also be board games, marshmallows and a treasure hunt.

International Balloon Festival of St. Jean sur Richelieu

Families are invited to attend the biggest gathering of hot air balloons in Canada, where they can enjoy activities, workshops and even hot air balloon rides at the festival site.

There is a special kids zone with face painting, a huge sandbox, fishing for number game, balloon booth and even a play area for toddlers.

There will be more than 50 inflatable structures and families can meet with hot air balloon pilots to learn more about this sport.

There will also be live music shows.

Doors open at 1:30 weekday afternoons and at noon on weekends.

 BBQ, Beers, and Brats Fundraiser

We will be hosting a BBQ fundraiser in our parking lot for AJOI. AJOI is a non-profit organization that sets out to help vulnerable youth in the West Island. It is estimated that 18% of young people from 0 to 34 years in the West Island, are living in areas of social and material deprivation. We want to encourage AJOI on there mission. We will be serving food and beverages. LIVE performances from local talent! Donations are welcome!
