Outdoor Skating at Centropolis (Laval)

To ensure all skaters can enjoy the skating rink safely, we kindly ask that you follow these rules at all times: 

  • Ice skates are mandatory;
  • Playing hockey is prohibited;
  • Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended;
  • Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the skating rink; 
  • A 2 meters distance must be maintained with other skaters who aren’t part of your family bubble;
  • A maximum of 18 skaters at a time is allowed.

Please note that the Centropolis is not responsible for accidents, injuries, theft, or lost items. 

It will be possible to put your skates on, one family at a time, in our heated gazebo on-site. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, the area will be disinfected regularly, wearing a face covering will be required inside and hand washing will be mandatory at your entrance. The gazebo will be accessible according to the following schedule:

Sunday to Thursday—10 AM to 6 PM

Friday & Saturday—10 AM to 7 PM

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will be delighted to know that new trails are now maintained and accessible at the following locations in Beaconsfield:

  • Beacon Hill Park, 100 Harwood
  • Shannon Park, 340 Preston
  • Centennial Park, 288 Beaconsfield Blvd.
  • City Lane Park, 1974 City Lane
  • Christmas Park, 424 Beaconsfield Blvd.*

*Thank you to the Amis du Village Beaurepaire members who are responsible for the creation, tracing and maintenance of the trails at Christmas Park.

COVID-19 PREVENTION – RULES TO FOLLOW:

  • Cross-country skiing must be practiced individually or with people from the same family group who live together in the same residence.
  • A person who lives alone can practice an outdoor activity with another person (this person does not have to live alone).
  • A minimum distance of 2 meters must be respected at all times.

Illumi Cavalia (laval)

Illumi is a magical, dazzling and extraordinary nocturnal adventure amidst thousands of monumental light structures. For its second, revamped edition, Illumi has evolved into a hybrid journey that visitors can experience by car, on foot or on a mini train based on the option selected.

Dorval Winter Festival

As of the end of January, five sculptures featuring Jet, the City of Dorval’s official mascot, will start popping up all over the Dorval territory, as part of the Winter festival.

Come discover this joyful mascot in all its splendour, immortalized through snow sculptures by artist Alex S. Girard:

  • In front of the Dorval Library (1401 Lakeshore Drive)
    • Creation on January 30*
       
  • In front of the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre (1335 Lakeshore Drive)
    • Creation between January 30 and February 2*
