The holiday season is a time when pleasures and traditions often overlap. But is it the same for everyone? Since the 19th century, the Holidays have evolved over the years. From sharing to overconsumption, to sifting through one’s imagination, what are your traditions today? A decorated Christmas tree, a unique toy, a delicious Christmas log, or maybe Santa Claus? To discover all these themes and more, the Museum will be offering an interactive exhibition that will appeal to young and old alike.

Illumi – A Dazzling World of Lights is a magical, captivating and extraordinary nocturnal outdoor journey created from thousands of monumental light sculptures. Illumi is a unique way to celebrate an entirely new holiday tradition with your partner, family, friends or group.

As darkness falls, Illumi ignites the night with more than 10 million brilliant lights, the largest multimedia sound and light show on the planet.

Bundle up for an evening stroll through this picture-perfect postcard setting! Close to one million lights adorn the heritage buildings, trees, and fences of Upper Canada Village creating a one-of-a-kind magical backdrop for its annual Alight at Night Festival – a true winter wonderland!

Hop on board a horse-drawn wagon, or book a romantic carriage ride for two. Sing along with the carolling at Christ Church. Visit Saint Nick at his Victorian-style mansion (select evenings).
