Canada Day- Pierrefonds/Roxboro

A full day of celebrations!

Schedule:

9:30 a.m. – Participate in a parade by bicycle, on foot or by inline skates.

10:30 a.m. to noon – Large parade starts at Riverdale School then travels along Pavillon, Gravel, Langevin, Dresden, and Pierrefonds St and ends at the Town Hall. There will be bands, the recre-o-bus, drummers, floats and more.

12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. – Live ceremony at Town Hall

Noon to 11 p.m. – Amusement Spectaculaires will have rides set up in the town hall parking lot.

1 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Family animation

2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. – Vague de Cirque – 6 artists perform a cabaret style show.

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Line dancing

7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. – Vague de Cirque (second show) – 6 artists perform a cabaret style show.

9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Live music show by Brigitte Boisjoli (a hommage to Patsy Cline

10:30 p.m. Fireworks

Expo for Kids : Free like the air

Robert Trépanier is a painter and a professional kite flyer whose passion for kites dates back to his childhood. Today, his artworks stimulate the imagination, use the element of surprise and continue to make us dream. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, the kites embody the artist’s concerns with respect to environmental issues. In addition to participating in several festivals and international exhibitions, Robert Trépanier also offers cultural mediation activities which allow young people to develop their creativity and to be more environmentally conscious through the arts.

Games for all ages, kiosks and shows on stage, including a magic show, hip-hop dancers, and musical entertainers The Falling and Sugar Funk. Food will be on site as of 3 p.m. and the famous fireworks on the lake take place at 10 p.m.

Activities include inflatables, carricaturist, temporary tattoos, face painting, balloon sculptures, music, and more.

 Boating Festival at Pointe du Moulin

Celebrate Journee des moulins du Quebec, by visting a windmill that was build in 1708, the miller’s house and learn more about archaeological excavations. Meet a potter and watch as he makes objects.

There will also be a BBQ for families and several water activities.
