Babies and their caregivers will enjoy a session of rhymes, songs, and books, followed by free play with toys for the little ones and coffee for the grown-ups.

EXPO FOR KIDS:THE CONTINUITY OF MOVEMENT – TAKE 2

In the fall of 2016, students from Pointe-Claire elementary schools discovered 17 artworks from their city’s permanent collection when they visited The Continuity of Movement exhibition.

Teachers joined in the process by adopting one of these artworks so that their students might experience it on a daily basis. Over a period of eight weeks, students became familiar with it, looked it over from every possible angle, and were inspired by it.  The Continuity of Movement…. Take 2 is the result of their daily contact with art.

Cake Decorating for Mother’s Day

Children will learn to decorate a beautiful cake for Mother’s Day. They will start with a two-layer cake and basic icing. Our animator will demonstrate simple decorating techniques that will transform these cakes into holiday creations by using colourful icing, candies and small toys. The children will use crayons to make their gift complete by decorating their cake box. Please be advised that the cooking schools are not allergy-free zones.

45th Spring Thing Gigantic Garage Sale

St. John’s United’s 45th Spring Thing (bazaar and garage sale) is Saturday, May 13th from 8:30 AM to 1 PM. It is a good opportunity to recycle unwanted items and to find treasures.

While you visit the farm, drop in to the Bakery Barn where we have fresh baked pies, muffins, cookies and more made from produce grown on the farm.

Wild Bird Migration Map

We are excited to be hosting one of three Wild Migration Maps, a giant 11m x 8m floor map showing the migration pattern of 20 at-risk Canadian species.

Come walk on the map to trace the migration of birds across the Americas, learn about the wonders of migration and discover the reasons behind this behaviour.

Le Nichoir’s biologists and an educator from the CWF will be there with a series of fun and informative activities for the whole family.

West Island Art Hive

A community art studio that offers the public an opportunity to create, connect, collaborate.
