First Fridays at St-Columba (Pointe Claire)

 

This month’s theme: Seeds, The Promise of Spring

There is comfort in the repeated refrain of nature. As Rachel Carson says,

“There is comfort in the assurance that dawn comes after the night,

and spring after winter.”

All ages, young and old, are invited to our “seedy” supper on Friday May 4th.

The suggested donation is $8 per adult, but give what you can.

We begin at 17h30 with snacks and sensational spring seed activities for the kids.

Supper is served around 18h30. It is BYOB with juice, water, coffee and

vegetarian options available.

So come celebrate the promise held in spring seeds.

Expo for Kids: Roger Brabant’s Imaginary Hen House 

Since his early childhood, Roger Brabant has been fascinated by the temperament of roosters, the proud and prestigious leaders of the farm. As an adult, he began tinkering with recycled old barn wood to create roosters. With time, he perfected his method and began choosing different repurposed materials: planks, wrought iron nails, old sheet metal, knobs, woodendowels, pipes, etc. Each rooster is inspired by a word, a personality, or a daily event. Come meet the protégés from his henhouse, each one as unique as the next!
