Baby Rhyme Time

Babies and their caregivers will enjoy a session of rhymes, songs, and books, followed by free play with toys for the little ones and coffee for the grown-ups.

Space is limited. Advance registration is required.

EXPO FOR KIDS:THE CONTINUITY OF MOVEMENT – TAKE 2

In the fall of 2016, students from Pointe-Claire elementary schools discovered 17 artworks from their city’s permanent collection when they visited The Continuity of Movement exhibition.

Teachers joined in the process by adopting one of these artworks so that their students might experience it on a daily basis. Over a period of eight weeks, students became familiar with it, looked it over from every possible angle, and were inspired by it. The Continuity of Movement…. Take 2 is the result of their daily contact with art.

Tales N’ Tunes

Discover the magic of words and reading through stories, songs and crafts.

This activity runs weekly, every Friday, from January 27th to May 5th . (No class March 10th and April 14th )

Mother’s Day Treats

First Fridays at St-Columba : All things bright and beautiful

Spring is the time for blossoms & bouquets – a time for replenishment & rebirth. Come celebrate the season and all the wonders of creation at our spring fling community supper.

Young and old – all ages are welcome. We begin at 5:30pm with snacks and lots of fun activities for the kids. Dinner is served around 6:30pm. Kids who finish quickly can continue with the activities or watch a movie. Parents can relax. Kids rejoin their parents for dessert. Please join us for this “Welcome Spring” supper.

The Animal Barn is host to a great number of animals, many of which are rare breeds. Our animals include pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, a donkey, a llama, goats, and a horse.

Outside, visit our new play yard adapted for all age groups. We offer activities for young and older kids including a straw castle, hay slide, tire pyramid, duck races, a mini-maze and a labyrinthe.

While you visit the farm, drop in to the Bakery Barn where we have fresh baked pies, muffins, cookies and more made from produce grown on the farm.

West Island Art Hive

A community art studio that offers the public an opportunity to create, connect, collaborate.

This non-profit program provides a space and art supplies for people of all ages to come together and express themselves in various forms of art.

This is not an art course with instruction but, instead, an opportunity for children, teens, parents, grandparents and groups to spend the afternoon creating together, letting their imaginations run free, in a welcoming environment that fosters community amongst artists of all ages and skills levels.

This is the time of year to truly enjoy the beauty of nature. Bring your mother on a stroll through the maple grove in full bloom. Biologist Robert Patrie will introduce you to different species of wild flowers and explain their reproductive strategy.
