At West Island Karate/Karaté de L’Île, we have been teaching Japanese Kyokushin Karate for over 20 years.  Students include children as young as 5 years old to adults of all ages.  WIK/KDL has locations in both Beaconsfield and Île-Perrot and is an independently owned dojo (karate school)  and is also one of the very few full-time dojos operating  in the West Island.  You may register for classes at anytime throughout the year and beginners are welcome (a free trial class is always offered).

At WIK/KDL, karate is not treated as simply an “activity” for your child; it is an endeavour.

Well-qualified, ADULT instructors pass on their knowledge and passion for Kyokushin Karate.  Every instructor is familiar with their class and knows how to motivate and encourage each student to reach their full potential.  Empowering the students is our ultimate goal.  With the belief that the study of karate is much more than learning how to kick or punch, there are important life-lessons to be realized.

Classes are divided according to the experience of a student, this allows students to work at their own pace and allows beginners to join at anytime throughout the year.
