Self-educated artist Christiane Chami, from Du coq à l’âne, brought her talent, ideas, and creativity from Aleppo, in Syria, to Montreal. For her surprise boxes, she draws inspiration from her life in Aleppo and Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood to tell tales from here and abroad through meticulously crafted scenes that reflect the moments she has witnessed.
