Splurgdstudio.com was started by Kirkland resident Lisa 3 years ago. She was looking to provide fashion accessories, bags & bracelets as well as basic innovative household items at a better price than normally available online. The goal was to make it easy and affordable for the everyday person to get trendy items quickly and at a great price. Soon after, they began selling their bags and bracelets on Best Buy Canada and things grew from there. When the pandemic hit, the nursing home where family resided needed some ppe supplies and with the contacts established, Splurgdstudio.com was able to provide them with some basic necessities quickly. A relationship with another local business making face shields in Dorval made it possible for Splurgdstudio started selling PPE supplies, manufactured locally as well as imported items the people needed.
Unlike most companies that offered protective equipment, Splurgdstudio knew that what was needed most in this time was community support and so, with every sale made, Splurgdstudio donated a portion of the sales to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation. With the help of some local care givers, they created a nurse’s kit that allowed the community to Adopt-a-nurse at the hospital, providing our first responders with much needed supplies. On International Nurses’ day, the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation made sure that every nurse at the hospital received a Splurgdstudio kit!
Since then, Splurgdstudio has continued to provide the community with protective equipment, but expanded their products to include other much needed items and fun creative items to make life better. Their customer service is excellent and they provide very fast local delivery, often even same day! They have expanded their donation to LGHF to cover all the products sold on their website, so for every item sold a portion of the sale goes towards the local hospital! They are a small local company that caters to the community and all the mommies and daddies in the community!
