Winter at the Ecomuseum (Sainte Anne de Bellevue)

Winter Settles in at the Ecomuseum Zoo

With the arrival of colder temperatures and the first snowfalls, some of the species in our care are beginning their hibernation or winter dormancy! Turtles and some birds have already settled into their winter quarters, while Genie, the famous Black Bear, finally entered her torpor on November 26.

To celebrate this magical season, the Ecomuseum Zoo has been offering reduced winter rates since November 17, with admission rates being about 20% lower than regular rates. A perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of winter nature… at a reduced price!

Come experience the magic of winter at the Ecomuseum Zoo and be amazed by all the surprises awaiting you!

A Holiday Tale: Pompon in search of the Arctic Fox!

From December 6 to February 27, take part in our brand-new enchanted game! Pompon, the zoo’s famous mischievous elf, is back for a new adventure and needs visitors’ help to complete his mission… becoming Pompon Claus!

Two versions are available, one for families and one for seasoned explorers. Come help Pompon on his quest by assisting him in identifying the animals he meets or answer his questions about the mysterious creatures of the North!

Once a month for the duration of the game, a gift basket from our Zootique valued at $75 will be drawn among participants. A treasure worthy of the holidays!

A Winter Tale: The White Keeper of the Tundra

Come closer… Listen to the voices of storytellers, guardians of the Great North’s legends. A new educational presentation about Arctic Foxes, those small creatures that brave the cold, awaits you. Don’t miss this magical encounter!

Presentations are offered on Saturdays and Sundays from December 6 to February 8, and daily from December 20 to January 4.

Schedule: 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m.

Give in to temptation and lend a helping paw as you prepare meals and enrichment for River Otters, Foxes, Canada Lynx, Gray Wolves… or even some surprise species!

But this time around, our mischievous elf has traded jokes for a touch of poetry… instead of pranks, he’ll share the wonderful stories about the animals in our care! Don’t miss these enchanting tales every Wednesday and Saturday from December 1 to 25.

 Safety & Courtesy Guidelines

To keep the experience enjoyable for everyone:
• Please stay off the property and out of the décor — fragile pieces and hidden snow hazards.
• Keep children close, especially near the street (no sidewalk in front).
• Do not block driveways; please respect our neighbours.
• Watching from your car is completely fine — and warm!
• Feel free to take photos and share them with us.

Thank you for supporting our family project year after year.
