On September 19, Hosting Table is hosting something different from a typical kids’ class: a workshop where parent and child learn side by side, not one waiting while the other participates. The Art of Being You takes place at Rennaï Retreat in Royalmount and is built around a simple idea: social confidence is easier to build together than alone.
Over the course of the workshop, duos work through real social situations, from starting a conversation with someone new to carrying themselves with ease at a table, gaining skills side by side rather than the child being taught while a parent watches from the sidelines. For many families, it becomes less about etiquette and more about a shared memory, the kind of afternoon a child still talks about weeks later.
