On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the West Island community is invited to take part in the 46th annual Terry Fox Run in Pointe-Claire. This important fundraiser continues Terry Fox’s dream of raising vital funds to advance cancer research in Canada. Since its inception, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over $1 billion for the cause — a historic milestone made possible by decades of support from millions of Canadians.
As in years past, this year’s Pointe-Claire Run will start at Alexandre Bourgeau Park, with registration in the parking lot of the chalet starting at 9 am and the official Run starting at 9:30 am. The Run (or walk!) is a family- and pet-friendly event so come one, come all! The route is a 5 km loop around the streets of Pointe-Claire and suitable for runners, walkers, or bikers.
Participants are encouraged to register online in advance to fundraise for this important cause and can sign up on Terry Fox Run site here: (click Register and Raise Funds)

For those who are not interested in joining on Sun. Sept. 20th but would still like to support the cause, tax-deductible donations to The Terry Fox Foundation can be made here: (click Donate)

The Pointe-Claire Run Site was in the Top 20 Fundraisers in Quebec for last year’s Run having raised just over $13,000 and with hopes to surpass that total this year with a goal of $15,000. Learn more about Terry Fox and the Foundation at: https://terryfox.org/
