
Thanksgiving is this coming weekend!!!! and with that comes some closures. Not everything is open or closed. Here is a partial list of some things happening around Montreal.
Open
- Most grocery stores and pharmacies
- Shopping malls including the Eaton Centre and Complexe Desjardins and Fairview Pointe Claire
- Museums
- Ecocentres
- Public markets like Jean-Talon, Atwater, and Maisonneuve
- Public transit will be on a reduced schedule
- Biodome, Biosphère, Botanical Garden, Insectarium and Planetarium
- Planetarium
- Montreal Casino
- La Ronde
- Ecomuseum

Closed
- Banks
- Canada Post
- Government services like permit counters, Accès Montréal offices and municipal courts and offices
- Indoor pools, libraries, community (or reduced hours)
- Passport and Service Canada offices
- Most SAQ locations will be closed except SAQ Express stores
- Grande Bibliothèque (BanQ)
Transit
- The STM is operating on a holiday schedule. Paratransit customer service will not be available, but transit service will still be available.
- The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) will operate on a holiday schedule.
- Société de transport de Laval buses will run on Saturday schedules.
- Réseau de transport de Longueuil buses and shared taxis will run on Saturday schedules, as will paratransit services.
- Exo commuter trains will run on Sunday schedules. There will be no service on the Candiac, Mont-St-Hilaire, and Mascouche lines. Exo buses will run on Saturday schedules. Paratransit trips are cancelled, except for medical appointments.
City services
- City of Montreal 311 service will be open.
- Garbage, recycling and compost pick-up will operate normally. Ecocentres will be open.
- Parking restrictions remain in effect.
- Pools, arenas, and sports facility schedules vary by borough
