Here are the list of activities happening around the west island and Montreal for St. Jean Baptiste. If it should rain, many cities will postpone. This website will not be updated minute to minute. NOT all activities are taking place on the 24th or July 1st. Be aware of the dates.

Monday June 24


Dorval

As part of the Fête Nationale, the former legendary musical French club “Les 2 Pierrots” is moving to Dorval for one night. The institution’s icons, Dany Pouliot and Serge Lachapelle, will make you dance and sing to the most famous and beloved French songs in Quebec.

Many other activities are planned for the day: a family wrestling event, games, entertainment, food trucks, etc.

Let’s get together on Monday, June 24, starting at 2 p.m., at Alexandre-Bourgeau Park to celebrate Quebec’s National Holiday in style! 

On the program: circus, magic and strolling shows, acrobatic clown performances, face painting, inflatables and more! 

The celebrations will end with fireworks display launched from a barge on Lake Saint-Louis.

Fête Nationale Celebration

Canada Day in Pierrefonds-Roxboro


The theme of the July 1, 2024 celebrations will revolve around the traditions that are characteristic of our borough.

You’ll be delighted by what we’ve put together for you! A great amusement park, a festive and interactive parade, impressive floats and a large-scale show that will get you moving. What’s more, to bring the event to a memorable close, you’ll be treated to a spectacular fireworks display.

Dorval


Following last year’s success, the Dance Deluxe band will be back with its inexhaustible energy to dazzle the audience! This year, you’ll be able to party to the sound of well-known tunes by today’s artists. 

 Also on the musical front, two tributes will be featured during the evening: one to Taylor Swift and another to the incredible singer Pink (Trouble). And you’ll have the chance to discover local singer Jeff Waters, who will cover current hits.

 Lastly, come witness the raw power and the exploits of Dorval’s strongest man, Jean-Roch Cyr!

It’s a day filled with great music, family shows, games, entertainment, and food that awaits you! 

 Program of the day:

– 2:30 p.m.: Display of strength by Jean-Roch Cyr, the strongest man in Dorval

Food trucks and local associations will be on site for the entire event to offer food and alcohol-free beverages.

Please note that if the event is cancelled due to poor weather, there will not be a postponed date.

 Free Shuttle Service 
In order to facilitate access to Millennium Park, the City of Dorval will be providing a free shuttle service to citizens.

The shuttles’ stop points will be the following:
– Parking lot at Walters Park (corner of Dawson Avenue and Pine Beach Boulevard)
– Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre (1945 Parkfield Avenue)
– Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex (1295 Dawson Avenue)
– Millennium Park (corner of Keller Circle and Sévigny Avenue)

From noon to the end of the event, shuttles will stop at these four locations approximately every 30 minutes. They will also run this circuit on a regular basis to allow attendees wishing to leave the event to return to their initial stop point.

Of course, we encourage all citizens to come by foot or by bicycle to Millennium Park.
