Local Kid Friendly Restaurants

Jukebox Burgers has been around since 2010. When it first opened, I hadn’t paid much attention to it, but I started hearing more and more good things about it. We tried it out last year for the first time and now I am hooked.

The location is very central in the West Island, it is at the end of the Marché de L’Ouest, next to the IGA. The inside decor is really fun and kids love it. It is themed like a 50’s style diner. They have many booths and tables, but you can also choose to sit at the counter if you’d like. At the front of the restaurant, they have a large jukebox where you can choose some songs to play throughout the restaurant. My daughter loves that part! In the summertime, they have a terrasse area where you can enjoy the outdoors.

We decided to take our daughters out for a girl’s lunch on their last ped day. The food is nothing fancy, it’s a burger joint, but if you are craving a juicy burger, then this is the place! The burgers are made from freshly ground beef, and they grind it right there in the restaurant. The kitchen is very open, so you can see it all and it is very clean.

I always go for their “Chaplin” burgers since they are a bit smaller, I can’t finish a regular sized burger. The burgers come with these tasty curly Q fries, I love them! My daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich and she was happy. The kid’s meals come with a drink and a small ice cream dessert, which is always a treat!

They have lots of fun desserts if you are in the mood to indulge. Everything on the menu looks so good, it’s hard to decide. They have root beer floats, ice cream sundaes, huge milkshakes, and even frozen yogourt. Here is a fun shot of our girls sharing a chocolate milkshake:

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant as a nice family spot if you are in the mood for a yummy burger at a good price. Both my daughter and I ate lunch there for $14, I couldn’t believe it. The prices are extremely reasonable. When we go there for dinner with my husband, it usually costs us around $30 for the 3 of us. Not bad for a dinner out.

As a mom, I know that I always find a “Kids eat Free” deal very appealing because I don’t like paying full price for a plate that my daughter will probably only eat part of. Kids rarely finish their meals, so it feels like a waste to pay for separate plate for them. A lot of restaurants these days offer nights where kids can eat for free or at a really cheap price. Here is a list of restaurants that we’ve come across that offer great deals to families:
