At Montessori Pointe Claire we have programs for 6 to 9 years old, 4 to 5 years old, and also our younger children, 3 and under (starting at 13 months).
Why send your child to Montessori Pointe Claire Summer Day Camp?
Beautiful facilities conveniently located in the heart of the West Island: We have our own one-acre fully fenced natural playground with trees, grassy park areas, picnic benches, huge sandboxes, and wooden play structures. We are withing close walking distance and have daily access to three lovely Pointe Claire playgrounds with great park play structures and sports fields. Our building is air conditioned so that we can go inside or outside anytime.
Reasonable fees, flexible registration. Registration for our camp is by the day so you don’t need to take a full week if you don’t need it. You can register early to reserve your spot, the only fee you pay is a $50 registration fee. Payment for camp starts when you start in the summer (information on our registration form), and with only two weeks’ notice you can cancel or change your days.
Excellent camp hours and our own kitchen to provide a healthy home cooked lunch. Camp hours are from 7am to 6pm (or whatever you need in between) with no additional early or late fees. An excellent healthy, hot lunch is included (parents send snacks). We can easily accommodate food allergies or food restrictions.
A wide variety of interesting age-appropriate activities that change daily. Our ECE qualified counsellors create new activities for the campers every day. No line-ups for activities and no one is ever bored. It’s always fun and interesting! Every week there is a new fun theme, for example, “Pirate Week” or “Beach Party Week”. In addition to our regular program, every day there is an activity with a specialist such as yoga, karate Sportball, music or science experimenting.
Tax receipts. Everyone is issued the Relevé 24 income tax receipt. More reasons to send your 6- to 9-year-old to Montessori Pointe Claire Summer Day Camp. This age group is our special “Senior Camp” group, that functions independently of the daycare, provides the children with big-kid activities, but maintains the strict safety standards found in daycare. Our facilities and registration information are indicated in the paragraphs above, and below we have some specific information for our Senior camp:
Excursions and pool play. We go on safe and fun excursions once a week. We go to Viking Pool (across the street) to play one or two afternoons per week. This is in the shallow area and extremely well supervised, so children do not need to know how to swim to participate.
Our staff and child to adult ratio is fantastic: Our instructors are mature staff in their 20’s with Early Childhood Education experience and diplomas. The ratio for our staff to campers is maximum 1 to 10 for our 6- to 9-year-olds. Everyone gets individual attention if they need it, and lots of creative and fun organized activities.
Your child will ask to come back next year. The design of the program is such that the children have lots of time during activities, as well as free play, to socialize with their friends, and make new friends.
