What makes a family photograph feel like you?
It’s more than getting everyone looking at the camera.
Lucy calls her approach Lightness. It’s a combination of likeness, your inner light and physical light. In other words, more than what you look like. Often referred to as the “child whisperer,” her Psychology education, photography training and years of experience are a powerful combination when it comes to working with children and families to bring that more out.
The best photographs often aren’t the ones you could have planned. They’re the ones that make you say, “Yep. That’s us.”
The family photo shoebox
These days it may be hard to remember when photos weren’t something that were scrolled through on a screen. Maybe kept in albums, but often kept in shoeboxes because they were a perfect fit for 4×6 prints. Lucy wants to bring some old-school back with a modern take.
