West Island Families — Enjoy FREE REM Rides This Weekend!
West Island families, mark your calendars — this weekend is going to be so much fun for the whole family! The REM is officially opening its brand‑new Anse‑à‑l’Orme branch, and to celebrate, they’re offering FREE rides at the four new West Island stations. Yes… free!
Whether you’ve got little train lovers at home, teens eager to explore, or you’re simply curious about the new stations yourself, this is the perfect family outing — easy, stroller‑friendly, and budget‑friendly.
What’s Happening?
On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the REM is opening its four new West Island stations to the public:
- Des Sources
- Fairview–Pointe‑Claire
- Kirkland
- Anse‑à‑l’Orme
Families can hop on and off as much as they like within these four stations — completely free. It’s a great chance to explore the new elevated line, enjoy the views, and experience the REM before official service begins on May 18.
