TURNING RED- Review

I had the extreme pleasure of watching the digital pre-screening of a new original movie by Disney PIXAR- TURNING RED. It will be streaming exclusively on Disney + on March 11th. I have seen the previews for this movie for awhile and I was so excited to be able to pre-screen it before it’s release.

The Hype is for real on this movie. A definite MUST SEE! I can’t give away too much of the movie as I don’t want to spoil it for you all but I gotta say is I truly enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. With everything going on in our world these days, this movie was so relatable for so many reasons and for all ages. I feel we all have moments where we turn red or feel a change in our feelings and bodies. The main character Mei Lee is so relatable. Even as an adult, I felt I could see myself at her age. Your kids will laugh and fall in love with Mei and her friends from the moment the movie starts. This is a perfect family movie night that the whole family can enjoy! Your tweens will especially relate. Add it to your schedule for this coming weekend and get ready to fall in love with this fantastic movie!

Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins “Turning Red” launches on Disney+ March 11, 2022.
